6 Reasons Why Vintage Purses Are HOT!
Welcome Vintage Purse Fans! Why DO we love vintage purses soooo much? A lot of interest is in vintage bags, but do we ever really stop to think about it? Here are 6 good reasons why vintage purses are so HOT…
- Many of these purses “pair well” with many outfits because of their classic appeal. Since they’ve been “in” several years ago, we tend to think of them like an old wine or even a classic car. We loved them then and we love them now! And, “classic” will go nearly anywhere.
- Vintage purses are comforting. That’s just the way it seems, don’t you think? Since they are from the past…we look at them as something familiar. They are like going back to a childhood home, if you will. Or, like having a favorite treat prepared by your mother. We just get good feelings from these familiar things, in most cases.
- Vintage purses often STAND OUT. We can make a fashion statement with them and depending upon the bag, they can be the focal point of your entire outfit.
- Owners of vintage bags know (and appreciate) the fine workmanship of vintage bags. “They don’t make them like they used to” can really hit home when talking about vintage purses. We love purses that last and last and last… : )
- Vintage purses usually are the best choices for those wanting to get that “period look”. For example, if you’re in love with the seventies…carrying an actual vintage bag really completes this look in a big way.
- Vintage bags and purses can make us young again. Of course, not everyone is old enough to have had a vintage bag (when it was new) and then to be able to ‘look back” on it and reminisce. But, for those that are ~what kind of bags did you carry when dating your husband twenty years ago could help us really relive that, for example. It’s like listening to the oldies, but goodies…we ARE young….the music is the same and we nearly are, too!!
